Breaking Badfans rejoice as AMC will finally be airingEl Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Last year, in one of the biggest surprises in all of entertainment, series creator Vince Gilligan revealed that he had shot a follow-up movie to his beloved TV show that follows Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman after the events of the series finale. Now, the network that brought usBreaking Badin the first place has set a premiere date for the movie, which will follow a five-week marathon.
Throughout five Sundays between January and February, AMC will air all five seasons ofBreaking Bad, which will lead up to the network premiere ofEl Camino: A Breaking Bad Movieon Sunday, February 16. The marathon will be bookended by the highly-anticipated premiere ofBetter Call Saulseason 5 the following week. Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks' Entertainment Group and AMC Studios, had this to say in a statement.

We are beyond proud to be the home for Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould’s incredible vision and are endlessly in awe of the insanely talented actors that bring the vision to life.”
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Moviepicks up in the wake of Jesse’s dramatic escape from captivity and follows him as he must come to terms with his past to forge some kind of future. The movie was written and directed by Vince Gilligan, with Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Charles Newirth, Diane Mercer, Gilligan and Aaron Paul producing. It initially premiered onNetflixon October 11, with the movie also screening in a number of theaters across the country that same day.
Many considerBreaking Badto be a near-perfect show. As such, there was some hesitation when the movie was first announced. Fans didn’t want to see the ending of the series sullied in any way. Fortunately,Vince Gilliganknew what he was doing as the majority of critics and fans embraced Jesse’s return. It currently holds a 91 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Breaking Baddebuted in 2008 and ran for five seasons, following Bryan Cranston as Walter White, a school teacher who turns into a notorious meth dealer after he’s diagnosed with cancer.
