Ever since Paramount’sBaywatchstarted filming last month, fans have been treated to a slew ofset photoscourtesy of starsDwayne JohnsonandZac Efron. However, it’s rare that we’ve seen several cast members assemble at the same time. Yesterday,Dwayne Johnsonshared the latest image through hisInstagramaccount, featuringZac Efron,Alexandra Daddario,Kelly Rohrbach,Ilfenesh Hadera,Kelly Rohrbachand Jon Bass, all in full costume. Here’s whatDwayne Johnsonhad to say about this new image.

Dwayne Johnson’s mention of the “Fargo Strut” is in reference to a legendarywrestlingstrut invented by pro wrestler Jackie Fargo in the 1950s, which was later popularized by modern wrestler Ric Flair. The rest of the cast includesPriyanka Chopra, Hannibal Buress,Jack Kesy, Amin Joseph andLatinapop starBelinda, but they aren’t featured in this new set photo. Production started back in February, with Paramount already setting a June 01, 2025 release date.
The story follows a “by-the-book and very seriouslifeguard,” played byDwayne Johnsonwho joins forces with a “young rule-flouting hothead” (Zac Efron) to try and save their beach from environmental destruction by an oil tycoon.Seth Gordon(Horrible Bosses) is directing from a screenplay most recently written byDamian ShannonandMark Swift(Friday the 13th). Justin Malen (Bad Teacher 2) wrote the original draft of the script, with Dwayne Johnson also producing alongsideBeau FlynnandIvan Reitman.
The originalBaywatchseries started in 1989 on NBC, but it was cancelled after just one season. The show then came back in 1991 in first-run syndication, with new stars such asPamela Andersonand Yasmine Bleeth, and it became a massive global sensation, remaining on the air until 2001. In addition,Zac Efronsent out a slightly different image from hisTwitteraccount, featuring all of the stars having fun on the beach.
