Meaning that those wanting to avoid, or perhaps just take a break, from all the festivities will be able to sit back and watch the Hollywood icon deliver justice the only way he knows how: with his fists.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua,The Equalizer 2sees the filmmaker reunite with Washington following the 2014 action outingThe Equalizer. The Equalizer writer Richard Wenk reveals he has been “tasked” with figuring out how to bring the action franchise back for more.
The Equalizer 3was met with the best reviews of the franchise, landing a score of 76% on Rotten Tomatoes against the first movie’s 61% andThe Equalizer 2’s“rotten” 52%. While we all thought it was over, Denzel Washington recently revealed thatanother two movies are now in the works.
“I told them I would do another Equalizer, and we’re doing four and five. More people are happy about that—people love those daggone Equalizers, but I’ve come to realize that the Equalizer films are for me, too, because they’re for the people. They want me to go get the bad guys. ‘We can’t get them, so you go get them.’ And I say, Okay, I’ll get them! Just wait right there. I’ll be right back!”
Washington is absolutely right that we would watch him “get the bad guys” until the end of time, so it’s great to know that the 69-year-old actorhas no plans to give upon the action just yet.
