DC starBen Affleckcommented on Matt Damon’s friendship with Marvel actorChris Hemsworth. The actor-director, who just released the filmAir, expressed willingness to meet his supposed rival Hemsworth but with certain conditions. While he applauds Damon for confidently hanging out with Hemsworth, he wouldn’t do it in such a way.
Schoolmates Ben Affleck and Matt Damon were seen as best friends in Hollywood as the pair have been inseparable. It was previously reported that the pair even shared a bank account together when they were still starting in the industry. The said bank account was opened to help each other survive while they try their luck in Hollywood. Thankfully things worked out for the both of them, and they no longer needed the account after Good Will Hunting was released.
While the pair are still maintaining friendship, they also went on to find more friends in Hollywood and Matt Damon went on to become friends with Chris Hemsworth. As Damon has been seen in some outings with Hemsworth, Affleck jokingly said he’d never want to be seen next to the Thor actor. He told Daily Telegraph as reported byFandom Wire,
“I think that shows enormous character of Matt to be friends with a guy that much younger and better looking than him. Good in practice – but I don’t want to sit next to Chris Hemsworth in photographs so I applaud Matt.”

How Matt Damon and Chris Hemsworth’s Friendship Affected Ben Affleck
The Argo actor, who’s been wanting to visit Australia, reveals that Damon often tells him about his time in Australia. He said,
“Matt is quite good friends with Chris and his family – he loves Australia – and I really want to come and see it because the people that I’ve met from Australia I’ve really liked and gotten along with. There’s a wonderful spirit and energy about the people, and certainly Matt raves about it.”
While he’s really happy that his best friend is having the time of his life, Damon expresses desire to stay in Australia for good. This wouldn’t sit well with Affleck as he wants to see his friend often. He shared,
“He’s often said if he could live somewhere, he’s tempted to just go live in Australia. My only misgivings about that is that I wouldn’t see him as much. But I’d love to come […] As long as I don’t have to take any shirtless pictures next to him.”
