Earlier tonight, a slew ofDC ComicsTV shows came together in Ballroom 20 for Warner Bros. Television’s Superhero Saturday Night, including Fox’sGotham, CBS’Supergirland The CW’sArrowandThe Flashalong with the upcomingDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which debuts next spring. There have already been several characters confirmed forDC’s Legends of Tomorrow, includingArrow’s Atom (Brandon Routh) and the White Canary (Caity Lotz),The Flash’sWentworth Miller(Captain Cold),Dominic Purcell(Heat Wave) andVictor Garber(Dr. Martin Stein), along with new characters such as Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). During tonight’s panel, executive producerGeoff Johnsconfirmed one more character, Hawkman, although the character has yet to be cast.

Hawkman, a.k.a. Carter Hall, first appeared in the comics in the 1940s, a reincarnation of the Egyptian prince Khufu, who discovered that the “ninth metal” allowed him to manipulate gravity and give him the power of flight. It isn’t known how he will fit into the series quite yet, but it should be noted that a report from last month claimed that The CW is already developing aHawkgirlspinoff TV series, so it’s possible that Hawkman could be a part of that series as well. It isn’t known if Hawkman will be introduced in the pilot episode, or later on in the series.

In related news, executive producerGreg Berlantisaid thatLegends of Tomorrowwas like an “Ocean’s Eleven-type show,” while actressCaity Lotztalked about her transition from Black Canary to White Canary. As you may know, her version of Black Canary was killed in theArrow Season 3premiere, but she was resurrected through the Lazarus Pit for this show. Here’s what the actress had to say.

“We’ve seen on Arrow, the people who go into the pit aren’t the same person who come out. There’s the consequences of that now, and I at least want her to go nuts off her rocker.”

Executive producerMarc Guggenheimalso teased that the “first few episodes” ofArrowandThe Flashwill “set the table” forDC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Ciara Renee also teased that she has been preparing for her Hawkgirl role by, “reading all the comic books, catching up onArrowandThe Flash, and boxing and martial arts.” It isn’t known when production on the series will begin, so it may be quite some time before we see the first official footage. In the meantime, check out some of the tweets from the show’s writer’s room during tonight’s panel.
