Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) is seeking a “proper welcome” from Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain), the sister of her husband Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) in a new clip fromCrimson Peak. While we don’t get anything too scary in this scene,Jessica Chastain’s Lucille Sharpe makes it clear that Edith shouldn’t go into certain parts of the house. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not Edith will heed this warning, as we get closer and closer toCrimson Peak’s October 16 release.

Set in the aftermath of a family tragedy, the film follows an aspiring author, who is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Guillermo del Torodirects from a script he co-wrote withGuillermo del Toroand Matthew Robbins, with the director also producing alongside Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Callum Greene with Jillian Share. The film is set to hit theaters October 16, going up againstBridge of SpiesandGoosebumpsin wide release. Thishaunted housethriller will also go up against indie films such asRoom,TruthandWoodlawn.
