What isResident AlienAbout?
Resident Alienfollows an alien who comes to Earth to destroy all humans but stays undercover as a small-town Colorado doctor when he realizes it won’t be an easy job. The series is based on the Dark Horse comic book series byPeter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse. The show has been adapted for television by five-time Emmy nominee Sheridan, who has written forFamily GuyandLiving Single.
Sheridan discusses how he just wrote the story and what he wanted to do for the show, but as they began to shoot the show and dive into the VFX, he realized that he would have to cut some stuff out for budget purposes. For example, Sheridan talks about how the full alien makeup takes a few hours to put together, which of course, adds to the budget.
Even though season 2 is currently airing, he is still working on the much longer season. As of now, he said he has not thought about season 3 just yet. He also speaks to Collider about how episode 8 was the toughest one as it serves as a cliffhanger for the middle of the season. The most significant point that Sheridan speaks on is making sure that the story arc on the characters develops in a way that makes sense. Sheridan seems very committed to this project and enjoying, so hopefully, we will see how season 2 ends and get word on an upcoming season 3 in the future.
