Fans who attended the D23 Expo in August were the first to see footage fromCaptain America: Civil War, just one week afterproductionwrapped. Since then, we haven’t heard anything about when the first official trailer forCaptain America: Civil Warwill arrive. But earlier today, a rumor fromHeroic Hollywoodclaimed that the first teaser will be attached toSpectre, which hits theaters on November 6. Shortly after that unconfirmed rumor emerged, another report fromColliderrevealed that the footage will actually be attached to prints ofStar Wars: The Force Awakens, in theaters December 18.

Neither report has been confirmed, butHeroic Hollywoodreached out to other sources who also claim that theCaptain America: Civil Wartrailer will arrive withStar Wars: The Force Awakens. If this is eventually confirmed byMarvel, it certainly makes more sense to release the trailer withStar Wars: The Force Awakens, which is expected to shatter box office records. It isn’t known if the trailer will arrive online before or after the theatrical debut, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Both Disney andMarvelhave a history of strategically releasing trailers that tie into the company’s other interests. What will actually be shown in theCaptain America: Civil Wartrailer remains to be seen, but another mystery has surfaced, which could also lend credence to the notion thatCaptain America: Civil War’s trailer will arrive withStar Wars: The Force Awakens. Several months ago, a Twitter account dubbedRusso Brothersarrived, whileCaptain America: Civil Warwas in production. The account has never been confirmed as belonging toCaptain America: Civil WardirectorsAnthony RussoandJoe Russo, but over the past few months, the account has released a number of obscure photos that may or may not have come from the set. Last week, the account posted two images, with the one on the right seemingly featuring Captain America-esque stars, along with a blurry image, which aColliderreader claims is from an obscureStar Warsposter.
