Sam Wilson as Captain America

Tim Blake Nelson made his MCU debut in 2008’sThe Incredible Hulk, during which his character, the cellular biologist Samuel Sterns, attempted to cure Bruce Banner of his big, green ailment. The last audiences saw of Sterns, his head was growing to a mutated size after some of Bruce Banner’s blood dripped onto a wound on his head. For Marvel Comics fans, this acted as a major hint that Sterns will transform into The Leader, a villain with green skin, a giant cranium, superintelligence and telekinesis.A hint that we have all waited over a decade to see come to fruition.

“One of the things that really drew me to this project is The Leader is a man who operates from intellect. And it’s so great to have an adversary who is working with this incredible intellect to really put Sam [Wilson] through the wringer in this story.”
