Sorry,Breaking Badfans but Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul weren’t teasing a reunion between Walter White and Jesse Pinkman for the past couple of weeks on social media. Instead, the two are reuniting for a new venture in the form of an alcohol company. Specifically, a Mezcal brand called Dos Hombres. So, Walt and Jesse are now in the booze business instead of the meth business. Fans are sure to have mixed feelings about this but, fear not, as theBreaking Bad Movieis very likely still happening.
First thing’s first. Bryan Cranston andAaron Paulhave both been posting cryptic social media posts recently, with many assuming it had to do with theBreaking Badmovie that is in development (yet hasn’t been formally announced). Today, however,Bryan Cranstontook to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his former co-star to reveal what they’ve really been up to. Here’s what he had to say.

“Three years ago we sat in a sushi bar in New York. Talking about life and what we could possibly do down the road together. We had the time of our lives while shooting Breaking Bad and truly built a very special bond. Knowing that we couldn’t share the screen for quite a while - our thoughts turned to a new project. We sipped cocktails and thought about what it should be. The younger one looked at his drink and said, you know what we should do? We should do a really special Mezcal. The older one said, you mean the liquor with a worm at the bottom? Nah, that was just some bullshit gimmick, I mean real, artesanal Mezcal made by hand in Mexico. After that dinner we couldn’t get the idea out of our heads. So, we started traveling to Oaxaca to see if we could find it, and we mean it had to be ‘it,’ something so damn good even people who don’t think they like Mezcal will love it. It had to be perfect or we weren’t going to do it. We searched high and low all over Oaxaca, met incredible people along the way and after a beautiful yet grueling search throughout that majestic landscape we believed we may have found our place. Our Mezcal.”
Other celebs have done quite well in the alcohol business. George Clooney started his own tequila company, Casamigos, which he eventually sold for hundreds of millions of dollars.DeadpoolstarRyan Reynolds also has his own Aviation Gin, just for a couple of examples. Speaking further, Bryan Cranston explained how they found their Mezcal.

Certain people may still feel let down by the lack of an announcement relating toWalt and Jesse. That said, here’s what we know. Several reports have confirmed that aBreaking Badmovie from series creator Vince Gilligan is in the works. The plot is said to revolve around Jesse following the events of the series finale. While Walt died in the finale, it’s possible Bryan Cranston could come back via flashbacks or dream sequences.
The announcement may not be here today, but AMC will surely say something when the time is right. Maybe something at San Diego Comic-Con next week? For now, feel free to check outBryan Cranston’s Instagrampost for yourself below.
