Some disturbing news has arrived this morning that alleges formerBoardwalk EmpirestarMichael Pittof some very serious crimes. Should these allegations prove to be true, Pitt is going to find himself in a world of legal trouble that could result in serious consequences.
Per The New York Post, court records out of New York City indicate that Pitt was arrested and arraigned at Kings Supreme Court in Brooklyn on May 2 following allegations of sexual abuse against his former girlfriend. The incidents go back to April 2020, with the actor being charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse, along with additional counts of assault injury with several blunt objects and strangulation.

The Alleged Abuse Gets Even More Disturbing
The court records go on to show that the charges are associated with four alleged domestic incidents that began in 2020, with the last coming in August 2021. The detailed events took place at his Bushwick home that he shared with his former girlfriend, and the records also allege that Pitt fondled his ex on one occasion and then, months later, sexually assaulted her and hit her with a wooden plank. The alleged abuse gets even more disturbing, with prosecutors claiming that the actor attacked his former girlfriend with a cinderblock.
The exact charges that Pitt was arrested on include sex abuse, forcible compulsion, strangulation sexually motivated, and assault injury with a weapon sexually motivated. Pitt has pleaded not guilty to all the charges and was released from custody after posting $100,000 bail. According to reports, his next court appearance will be on Jun. 17. Pitt’s attorney, Jason Goldman, believes that this entire case will be dismissed.

“Unfortunately, we live in a world where somebody like Mr. Pitt, an accomplished professional who would never so much as contemplate these crimes, can be arrested on the uncorroborated word on an unhinged individual. In reality, this baseless claim is suspiciously raised some four or five years after the alleged incident, at a time when the two parties were in a completely consensual and voluntary relationship. This case will be dismissed.”
