Fans were left disappointed after the original run ofBleachwas hastily concluded with the Fullbringer Arc in 2012. While creator Tite Kubo continued the manga series, fans patiently waited, hoping that they would get to see their favorite substitute “Shinigami” (Soul Reaper) animated again. It took almost ten years, but theBleachanime is finally coming back with what is generally considered to be the best arc in the story withBleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

Back at the hands of Studio Pierrot, the house that brought to lifeNaruto,Naruto Shippuden, and the original run ofBleach, the much-anticipated revival has revealed the first trailer earlier today with some key moments of the arc. You can watch it below, courtesy ofVIZ Media.

Given how different and more beautiful it looks compared to the original run, fans are already losing their mind over this new trailer. Not to mention the remix version of the iconic Kurosaki Ichigo theme song “Number One.”

Unfortunately, the studio could not get to this popular storyline with the original run of the series and had to hastily wrap things up after theFullbringerarc, where Ichigo regains his spiritual powers after losing them against his battle with Aizen. The revived run ofBleachwill animate theThousand-Year Blood Wararc, which finally sees the conclusion to the eternal rivalry between Shinigami and Quincies. The hype surrounding the upcoming run of theanimeis insane and given how fans gush over theThousand-Year Blood Wararc (for good reason), it might become one of the highest-rated anime of next year. Pierrot seems to have done a great job at animating the series, as it looks perhaps even better than the last one.

Bleach

Those acquainted with the manga know of the scenes already revealed in the trailer and know what the anime has in store for them. The upcoming arc answers many questions left unanswered before, especially the origin of Ichigo’s hollow powers.Thousand-Year Blood Warwill introduce fans to a world of despair, as they are acquainted with the prime antagonist of the show: the Almighty Yhwach.

In addition to this, the arc also contains some never seen before powers and shows the true strength of many characters (something fans have been begging to see animated since the manga revealed them). However, all is resolved in the end, of course, with a helping hand from some unlikely “acquaintances”.

The wait for thisexciting revival ofBleachis nearing an end, as it has been officially confirmed that the anime will be airing from October 2022.
