My Perfect Stranger (May 1)
My Perfect Strangeris an upcomingSci-Fi romance dramawith a little bit of mystery thrown in. The drama, starring Kim Dong Wook (The Guest) and Jin Ki Joo (Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo), will premiere on Viu on May 1 and run through June 20 before concluding the first season with sixteen episodes.

Yoon Hae Joon (Kim Dong Wook) began his career as a local news reporter at a broadcasting station, where he is the station’s youngest anchor ever. He’s calm and straightforward, and as a journalist, he shares his concerns without hesitation. Baek Yoon Young, on the other hand, has always wanted to be a writer, but her life has never been fair to her, and she despises it.
Somehow, these two find themselves transported back in time to 1987. There, Yoon Hae Joon investigates the mystery of a serial murder case, while Baek Yoon Young tries to prevent her parents from meeting each other. Both stories start off seemingly unrelated, but their connections become clear later on.
All That We Loved (May 5)
All That We Lovedis one of themost anticipated Korean dramasof the month, not only because it features a triangle love story but also due to one of the main stars, Oh Se Hun, a popular singer from the band EXO. The story of two best friends, Go Yoo (Oh Se Hun) and Go Joon Hee (Jo Joon Young), is told in this short TVING drama.
While the former is an excellent basketball player with numerous interests, the latter is physically weak but an exceptional academic student. Joon Hee receives a kidney transplant from Go Yoo and suffers from cellular memory syndrome, which drives them to fall in love with the same girl, who also has a secret that causes her to keep her distance from others.All That We Lovedwill premiere on Viki on May 5.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 (May 6)
The events ofTale of the Nine-Tailed 1938take place between the first and third seasons of the original series. Since the drama has only had two seasons, the creators opted to include this prequel before the third season, which is set to premiere later this year.
Due to an unexpected situation, Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) is forced to travel back in time to 1938, when he re-encounters Ryu Hong Joo (Kim So Yeon). She used to be a guardian spirit of the mountain to the west, but now she manages a restaurant in Gyeongseong.
This unexpected encounter and a few others make it difficult for Lee Yeon to return to his loved one. Thishorror fantasy dramawill be available on Prime Video on May 6.

Black Knight (May 12)
Black Knight,based on the popular webtoonby Lee Yoon Kyun, is one of the most anticipated Kdramas of 2023, owing to the main characters played by Kim Woo Bin (The Heirs) and Esom (Taxi Driver). The series is set in the near future, when toxic air pollution has ravaged the earth, killing over 99% of the population.
The remaining 1% of survivors thrive in harsh conditions thanks to advanced built-in shelters, but they also require gas masks and respirators, which are brought in by delivery knights. Kim Woo Bin plays “5-8,” a delivery knight who fights against criminal warlords with the aid of a few refugees he picks up along the way to complete his mission.Black Knightwill be available on Netflix on May 12.
Delightfully Deceitful (May 29)
May appears to be a big month for actor Kim Dong Wook since both of his dramas,My Perfect StrangerandDelightfully Deceitful, will be released in the same month. The plot of the upcoming drama follows Lee Ro Woom (Chun Woo Hee), a con artist who is highly skillful in deceiving others and has made a fortune doing so for years, and she lacks empathy in the least.
Han Moo Young (Kim Dong Wook), on the other hand, is the polar opposite of her; as a lawyer, he is overly empathetic and fights for the interests of victims. Somehow they form an unexpected alliance to fight a common enemy, but what happens when they learn the truth about each other?Delightfully Deceitfulpremieres on tvN on May 29.
