Fans of the CW seriesBatwomanhave gotten the hashtag #RenewBatwoman to trend as part of their efforts to secure that season 4 renewal. In March, it was reported that the network had given several of its shows official renewals, which even includes other Arrowverse titles likeThe FlashandSuperman & Lois. While not outright canceled, other DC shows like Batwoman, Legends of Tomorrow, and Naomi were not given those early renewals, leaving the future of each of these shows still uncertain.
Noticing that #RenewBatwoman was trending, series star Javicia Leslie couldn’t help but say something. She took toTwitterto thank the fans for their support while adding the #RenewBatwoman hashtag to her post as well, joining the movement. Leslie said, “Wow!!!!! We love y’all so much!!!”

Another measure fans have been taken has been to binge watchBatwomanon HBO Max, where season 3 recently started streaming. As there are still plenty of unresolved storylines that could be explored in a fourth season, the fans have been pretty passionate with getting mroe new episodes, but it remains to be seen if the CW ultimately listens to them by givingBatwomanthe renewal. For now, the fan campaigning and binge-watching certainly does not hurt.

Ryan Wilder’s Story Will Also Be Told in Comic Books
The story of Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder will be expanded upon courtesy of DC Comics as well. Her incarnation ofBatwomanis getting her own comic book version, and in an exclusive interview with MovieWeb, the actress previously spoke about how stoked she was to see her character moving on to other mediums.
“I am so excited,” she said. “I think that Ryan being on her own journey, filling in the shoes of her predecessor and trying to find her own version of being a superhero has been so beautiful. To be able to capture that essence, it is really cool.”
She added, “But what I’m super excited about is that Batwoman herself will be making her first comic debut. I believe it comes out in April, and so that is going to be freaking epic. There’s some cool things that I know about that I can’t tell anybody, but she’s going to have some help from avery special personthat is also in the DC universe that everyone’s really going to love. And what’s super cool is that this portion of the comic comes from this season of our show between like episodes eight and nine or something like that, so you’ll get to see Poison Ivy. You’ll get to see all these epic characters, and it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
Leslie joinedBatwomanin season 2 after original star Ruby Rose departed the show after its first season. Rose’s character, Kate Kane, has since returned with new actress Wallis Day in the role, though Ryan Wilder has become the titular superhero in the wake of Kane’s absence.Batwomancan be found streaming onHBO Max.
