Unlike how creatives and audiences can sometimes feel about making prequels, Gilroy has embraced knowing what the ending ofAndorwill be. And even declares that this knowledge has helped and been “good” when it comes to creativity and delivering the story.

AndorSeason 2 will play out differently to the first outing, exploring the four years worth of eventsthat lead up to the beginning ofRogue One. A character that many are hoping will return, and based on the timeline really should, is Alan Tudyk’s Imperial droid K-2SO. While the actor and character were initially due to appear in the first season ofAndor, things changed, withStar Warsfans looking forward to seeing Cassian reprogram and become best friends with the sarcastic droid.
