Momentum Pictures has released the long-awaitedAmong the Shadowstrailer. Lindsay Lohan stars in the supernatural thriller, which is her first movie in six years. Lohan was last seen in 2013’sThe Canyons, which was slammed by critics. However, Lohan’s acting work in the movie was given praise by fans, who assumed that she was going to start working more frequently. Filming onAmong the Shadowsactually started in 2015 and Lohan was under the impression that the movie was going to hit theaters in 2016.
Among the Shadowscenters on Kristy Wolfe (Charlotte Beckett), a private investigator who, along with her partner (Gianni Capaldi), seeks to unravel the mystery behind her uncle’s murder, all while trying to conceal the fact she descends from a line of werewolves.Lindsay Lohanstars as Patricia Sherman, the wife of a European president, who hires Wolfe to find out who is trying to murder her husband. However, Patricia is unaware of Wolfe’s (get it?) werewolf heritage. As for the trailer, it looks quite dark with some pretty big action elements and a lot of glowing eyes.
Among the Shadowshas a charming low-budget look to it and, as one YouTube commenter nails, it feels like theLifetime network attempting to do a horror movie. This isn’t to say that it’s bad at all. The movie actually looks well done and a must for anybody who is into low-budget horror movies. Lindsay Lohan doesn’t have a whole lot of facetime in the trailer, but it is imagined that she’ll have a lot more going on when her character discovers that her private detective is secretly a werewolf.
As for seeing anywerewolves, there aren’t any in theAmong the Shadowstrailer, just some humans with glowing eyes, which is a bit of a disappointment, but then again, they’re probably saving the actual werewolves for the movie. One character in the trailer is bummed out that the werewolves are killing each other, while Kristy Wolfe is trying to keep her true heritage a secret. There’s a lot of mystery going on, so horror fans may be impatiently waiting for this one to finally hit theaters. However, there’s good news and bad news when it comes to seeingAmong the Shadows.
Among the Shadowswill be released on March 5th, so the wait is nearly over. But, it won’t be released in theaters and will instead be available on demand. It is unclear why the movie has been held up for the last three years. The movie was acquired by Tombstone Distribution, a subsidiary of Archstone Distribution, in February 2016 and was listed for sale at the European Film Market at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2018.
