The highly anticipatedAhsokashow, set in theStar Warsuniverse, is creating stir among fans. It has been officially described as the fifth season ofStar Wars Rebels. The series has concluded on its fourth season but has left several unresolved storylines.
With the upcoming seriesAhsoka, theStar Wars Rebelsis getting a ‘spiritual’ sequel as the new show will revisit many characters and narratives in live-action form.

Carrie Beck, an executive producer on the show, recently spilled the beans in a conversation withTotal Film magazine. She confirmed that Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, and Hera Syndulla will be the triumphant trio leading the upcoming series.
These three heroines will be the heart and soul ofAhsokaseries. They will have intertwined roles, not only in terms of responsibilities with each other but also with the galaxy’s freedom.
Rosario Dawson will portray the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano. She mesmerized the fans after appearing inThe MandalorianSeason 2. During an interview with Total Film magazine, Dawson also highlighted the importance of Ahsoka, Sabine, and Hera as prominent female characters.
“I think that’s actually one of the reasons why people have loved Ahsoka’s and Sabine’s and Hera’s journey all of this time. Because they had been so prominent as female representation in a space that we don’t get to really see women be like that, to be such leaders, to be finicky, to be headstrong, to be stubborn, and to see how different they are, and how well they come together as a chosen family.”
She applauded the work of director Dave Filoni and producer Carrie Beck.
“It just was really fun to see how that’s only just expanded and grown, and that there’s such a rich history there, and not just because of a desire for more inclusivity or diversity, but because it’s just been inherent to the story that’s been told ever since Dave and Carrie came on board.”

Ahsoka Celebrates Female Power
Ahsokais setting a precedent as a female-led Star Wars project, which is a fantastic step forward. Dawson has spoken about how the series celebrates women. She stated that it was inspiring to see the legacy of George Lucas and Dave Filoni in portraying powerful female characters. She also praised how Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy is carrying this movement forward.
What’s more, Sabine Wren and Hera Syndulla will be making their live-action debuts, played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo and Mary Elizabeth Winstead respectively.
