Andormay have ended its two-season run over a week ago now, but that doesn’t mean fans aren’t hopeful to see more of the beloved crew that paved the way forRogue One’s heroic mission, which played such a huge part in theStar Warsuniverse. And while we know the fate of several characters from the show already — rest in peace, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), and thank you for being a hero — there are a few whose endings weren’t so, ahem, dead-ended. LikeAdria Arjona’s Bix Caleen, the longtime friend (turned lover) of Cassian Andor who —spoiler alert if you haven’t watchedtheAndorseries finale— has birthed his baby and is raising it on the planet they once called home. Naturally, this has caused fans to speculate, and rumors to fly, that Lucasfilm and Disney are not quite done with the charismatic actress and her defiantly plucky character.
In a new report fromSFF Gazette(by way of a tweet from writer Daniel Richtman), it is being bandied about that Arjona’s character may appear in otherStar Warsproperties in the future. Though none of this is set in stone — and should therefore be taken with many, many grains of extra-large salt — it does fall in line with how Lucasfilm has been steering the good shipStar Warsfor its television iterations: find something (a character, a situation, a place, a piece of lore)that fans really respond to, and dive deeper.

Did the ‘Andor’ Season 2 Finale Sneak a New Character Into the ‘Star Wars’ Universe?
‘Andor’s final episode featured a game-changing reveal about Cassian’s legacy, which could be carried over into future ‘Star Wars’ stories.
But what doAndorcreator Tony Gilroy, or the actress herself, think about a potential future for Bix Caleen and her child? Especially afterenduring so muchinAndor? Keep reading in the section below to find out more.

How Could Adria Arjona’s Bix Caleen Appear In More ‘Star Wars’ Stories?
Duringan interviewwithThe Hollywood Reporter, Gilroy spoke candidly about the choice for Bix to leave Cassian and the series’ heartbreaking ending/final moments.
“It does three things for me. It does exactly what you said — I think it makes his sacrifice that much more bitter. And I think that for anybody who had any lingering doubts about Bix leaving in episode nine, it explains it for anybody who was hesitant about buying into that scene. And finally, ultimately, I was desperate to end on a hopeful note. ‘Rebellions are built on hope’ isn’t just a T-shirt, it’s a legit flame that a lot of people need to see. So hopefully, I was ending on something that was upbeat, as it was important for me to do that.”

Arjona, for her part, spoke toElleabout her hopes for more Bix in the future, and what she thought about the character’s on-screen ending inAndor:
I tried to focus on what was happening to Bix in that moment, similar to how we deal with real life. You have hopes, and you have dreams. And I am sure that she hopes and dreams of one day reuniting with Cassian. I think, in that last scene, what she’s really hopeful about is the change that he’s going to make. She’s going to live in a better galaxy because Cassian is out there. Maybe, hopefully, a writer one day approaches me, and they’re like, ‘Hey, I know what happens,’ but I don’t want to smudge it with my imagination. But I have so much hope for [Bix and the baby]. They’re going to be fine, I hope."

But given all thatStar Warsseems to be focusing on these days — namely the galaxy post-Rise of Skywalker— how could Bix fit in when she would be decades older than when we last saw her, and her child would now be fully grown? There are other series she could ostensibly appear in, likeThe MandalorianorAhsoka, but that feels a bit forced at this point, doesn’t it? Never say never, though: who would have thought thatRogue Onewould lead to all this, eh? Only time will tell what the fates have in store for Bix Caleen and Baby Andor.
