The studio has released the first trailer for this adaptation ofPatrick Ness' beloved novel, which doesn’t give us a great look at this title character, but we do get to hearLiam Neesonproviding the voice. The studio has also released the first photo, featuring Lewis MacDougall as young Conor.

A Monster Callsis a visually spectacular drama from acclaimed directorJuan Antonio Bayona(The Impossible), based on the award-winning children’s fantasy novel. 12-year-old Conor (Lewis MacDougall) attempts to deal with his mother’s (Felicity Jones) illness and the bullying of his classmates by escaping into a fantastical world ofmonstersand fairy tales that explore courage, loss, and faith. The cast also includes Academy Award nomineesLiam Neeson, who will star in performance-capture and voiceover as the nocturnally visiting monster of the title.
