Is Cillian Murphy in ‘28 Years Later?’

It’s taken almost 20 years, but Danny Boyle is back to round out the28trilogy. The first trailer for28 YearsLaterintroduced audiences to Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, and Ralph Fiennes in the long-awaited threequel. Set to a horrifying recording of theRudyard Kipling poem,Boots, the trailer is incredibly unsettling, and promises to be a tense fright-fest when it hits theaters next June. Cillian Murphy is confirmed to return for the new film. But where is Jim in the new trailer?

The Movie That Introduced the World to Fast Zombies Before 28 Days Later

Long before 28 Days Later, Nightmare City, released in 1980 and directed by Umberto Lenzi, amped up the speed and savagery of the zombie film.

Fans thought they saw Jim as a horrific, skeletal zombie during a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot from the trailer. The zombie looks uncannily like the Irish actor, and puts hisOppenheimerweight loss to shame. However, it has recently been confirmed thatthe zombie is not Cillian Murphy, so fans are now on the hunt for Jim once again. Some are speculating he could be the character in the creepy mask (even though they’re clearly female). It is more likely that Murphy’s return is being withheld until a later trailer. Or, in the spirit of an actual mystery (remember when trailers still did those?), Jim’s return might not be shown in the trailers at all.
