Fortitude International has acquired the rights to theUntitled Adidas Puma Project. The film, which Fortitude will finance, will be produced byAndrew Garfield, Rupert Fowler and Fortitude’s Nadine de Barros, was written by Fowler and is currently in development. Talks with directors are underway and production is scheduled to begin in 2017. Fortitude International, co-founded by de Barros and Robert Ogden Barnum, will handle the international rights for the film, while CAA will handle domestic....
Anne Hathaway has issued an apology followingThe Witches backlash. Both Hathaway and Warner Bros. are apologizing to the disability community over the depiction of characters in the movie. Viewers took to social media to note that the characters' hands and feet in the movie featured differences that negatively portray limb disabilities. InThe Witches, Hathaway’s hands resemble the real-life condition called ectrodactyly (deficiency or absence of one or more central digits on the hands or feet), which people did not appreciate being associated with a villain character’s physical attributes....
