TheFerris Bueller’s Day Offspinoff is a go, with Paramount Pictures calling onDavid Katzenbergto direct the upcoming project and return to the world of the beloved John Hughes movie. The spinoff, titledSam and Victor’s Day Off, will follow the two valets who, in the 1986 original, “borrow” the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder belonging to Ferris’ best friend, Cameron’s father. According toTHR, David Katzenberg has now signed on to helm the project, with the story taking place over a single day as audiences see what the titular Sam and Victor got up to while cruising around in the car andcausing Cameron all manner of stress....
Earlier today, 20th Century Fox held a presentation where they showed off new footage fromLogan(June 02, 2025),Alien: Covenant(August 17, 2025) andWar for the Planet of the Apes(June 19, 2025), three of the studio’s most highly-anticipated movies. Tom Cruisesank his on-screen vampire teeth into the role of Lestat de Lioncourt back in 1994, but the late Anne Rice had her reservations about the Hollywood heavyweight playing the character. In the end, though, Cruise did a masterful job of embodying Lestat, who originally appeared in Rice’s 1976 novel,Interview with the Vampire. TheBeverly Hills, 90210reunion series will end its run after season 1, as Fox has declined to renewBH90210for a second season. Spanning six episodes, the limited series brought back nearly all of the primary cast members of the original show and was critically well-received. However, while noting they were proud of the series, Fox has now confirmed in a statement that the revival series has run its course. “Profound thanks to and respect for Brian, Gabrielle, Ian, Jason, Jennie, Shannen and Tori, who, along with the entire crew and everyone at FOX and CBS Television Studios, poured their hearts and souls into this truly inventive and nostalgic revival,” the statement adds....
